Plussed brings researchers, students, teachers and designers into a collective that tackles difficult educational problems with enthusiasm, optimism and expertise.
We seek to build capacity in learning organizations rather than sign on for long term engagements.
We work to productize our work into toolkits, apps, online learning experiences and primers that are used in our work and available to educators globally.
Plussed starts some of its work at Riverdale Country School with its amazing faculty and students and seeks to bring that work to broader audiences via Plussed.
Plussed will host a challenge for teachers and students nationally in the United States in the Spring of 2017 in order to choose 3 ideas to fund for further development during the summer of 2017 and the 2017-2018 academic year. The Pre-Application will be available in January. Semi-finalists will be required to attend a workshop at Riverdale Country School in the Spring of 2017. More information will be available on the website in the next months. If you are interested in receiving updates, submit your information on the COLLABORATE! page and indicate that you are interested in the Plussed RFP 2017 in the text box under “Have an idea?”.
Plussed believes that the best way to solve problems in schools and learning organizations is to engage students and teachers in solving them. At the same time, we need to ensure that we solve learning problems informed by the very best science of learning. Therefore, we work collaboratively with researchers to translate their science into practical solutions and services for schools. In order to do that effectively, we include designers in every stage of the process to ensure that our human-centered, individualized solutions and services are both engaging and practical for educators to employ in all sorts of schools and learning organizations.
