Todd started his career trading bonds, then left banking to pursue work in youth development, following a passion that was developed while teaching and mentoring students during and after college. After volunteering and fundraising for programs in Washington, D.C., and New York, he joined The Boys Club of New York as Director of a social and academic enrichment program for teenage boys, and was a co-founding teacher of the third and fifth grades at Community Roots Charter School in Brooklyn.
Todd recently stepped down as co-leader and co-founder of Compass Charter School, a constructivist pre-K to 5th grade public school in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, where he led the school’s strategic development, operations, finance, student recruitment, fundraising, and student support teams.
While developing the model for Compass, Todd co-founded The Odyssey Initiative to identify, document, and share effective practices from schools around the country. He is committed to making charter schools unnecessary by helping to demonstrate how all schools can be effectively operated.
At PLUSSED, Todd is the Director of Partnerships, a new portfolio focused on building collaborative experiences that will support our creation of services and products.
